To optimise a matrix or fracture acid job ideally the whole production
interval should be treated. However, when this zone is massive or several
sands are open to the wellbore, it can be necessary to perform the treatment
in several stages. To do this, it is obviously necessary to isolate the
zone to be treated from the others, and this can be done either mechanically
using packers, or chemically using diverting agents.
These chemicals work in very much the same way as the fluid loss additives
by bridging the pores in the formation. One important aspect of using
diverting agents is the use of the correct material to avoid causing any
damage to the formation. Lab testing is a great help in deciding which
product is suitable for the application.

SDA-01 is a diverting agent for use
in oil, gas and water injection wells. It is an organic material in
flake form and is slowly soluble in water, acid, oil and gas. |

SDA-01 |
SDA-02 is an oil-soluble resin available
in fine, medium, coarse and granular grades for use in matrix acidising
and aqueous fluid fracturing. It can be used at temperatures up to
250F. |

SDA-02 |
SDA-04 is a waxy, off-white material
used as a temporary blocking or diverting agent during well treating
operations. SDA-04 can be used at bottom hole temperatures of 80 to
180F. |

SDA-04 |
SDA-05 is a waxy, off-white material
used as a temporary blocking or diverting agent during well treating
operations. SDA-05 can be used at bottom hole temperatures of 80 to
145F.

SDA-05 |
SDA-06 is a waxy, off-white material
used as a temporary blocking or diverting agent during well treating
operations. SDA-06 can be used at bottom hole temperatures up to 200F
|

SDA-06 |
SDA-09 is a universal diverting material
that may be used in treating or completion fluids for injection, disposal,
oil and gas wells. It functions as a fluid loss additive and diverts
at the face of the formation. |

SDA-09 |
SDA-155 is a waxy off-white material
used as a temporary blocking or diverting agent during well treating
operations. SDA-155 can be used at bottom hole temperatures 155F+.

SDA-155 |
SDA-180 is a waxy off-white material
used as a temporary blocking or diverting agent during well treating
operations. SDA-180 can be used at bottom hole static temperatures
of 180F+.

SDA-180 |
SDA-33
is a diverting material in liquid form for use in matrix acidising.
When added to aqueous fluids, SDA-33 provides a dispersion of fine
particles of a high melting point, oil soluble resin. |
