Fluid loss control additives are designed to reduce water loss from the
slurry to the formation. This protects sensitive formations from damage
and avoids premature dehydration of the slurry, giving better results
in squeeze jobs. In a narrow annulus, if the loss of fluid to the formation
is excessive, a layer of filtrate will build up on the walls causing reduced
flow and increased friction pressures due both to the restricted flowpath
and the higher viscosity of the slurry; in some cases this filtrate can
bridge the annulus.
Some fluid loss control additives also act as gas migration control additives.
These prevent gas from channelling through the slurry as it sets and the
hydrostatic load is reduced.

CFL-109 is a powdered fluid loss additive
for cement slurries and can be used in a wide range of cementing compositions
by varying the concentration to give the required fluid loss value. |

CFL-109 |
CFL-114 is a retarding, low fluid loss
cement additive for use above 180F circulating temperature. |

CFL-114 |
CFL-122 is a cement fluid loss additive
developed for use over a wide range of temperatures and slurry types. |

CFL-122 |
CFL-259 is a powdered fluid loss additive
suitable for cement slurries containing salt (sodium chloride). The
preferred temperature range for CFL-259 is below 140F BHCT, but it
can be used successfully at much higher circulating temperatures.

CFL-260 is a fluid-loss control agent
designed for use in cement slurries prepared with fresh water. CFL-260
can be used with any brand of cement. It can be used in the temperature
range of 40 to 200°F (4 to 93°C), but exhibits a retarding
effect at the low end of this range.

CFL-386 is a fluid loss and gas migration
control product equivalent to Dowell Schlumberger's D600. |

CFL-386 |
CFL-395 is a powdered fluid loss additive
with only slight retarding properties for the slurry. It is primarily
for use at low temperatures, i.e. BHCT of 180F/82C or less, but can
be used at higher BHCTs. |

CFL-395 |

fluid loss control additive for use in oilwell cement slurries. |

CFL-450 |
CFL-56G is a fluid loss and gas control
additive that controls fluid loss, bonding and filtrate viscosity
by imparting cohesive and adhesive properties to cement slurries.
CFL-56G can be used up to 200F. |
