DeepGel is a flexible, depth independent solution for flow assurance
from Aubin. DeepGel is not just a chemical but an enabling technology
that offers new engineering solutions for deep water flow assurance.
- DeepGel has been designed and developed to provide
a superior insulation material (typically 0.12 W/m K) for deepwater
oil field applications.
- DeepGel's high thermal mass results in superior
cooldown performance additives such as phase change materials can be
incorporated within the gel further improving its cool down performance.
- DeepGel will not support convection, resists water
ingress and exhibits low thermal conductivity.
- DeepGel can be provided as a liquid which can
be pumped into cavities as a liquid which gels in place to form a depth
independent insulating media making it particularly suitable for deep
water applications.
- DeepGel will act as an incompressible medium transferring
pressure from the external carrier pipe to the internal pipe. This means
that DeepGel systems do not require a rated outer carrier pipe.
- DeepGel is suitable for insulating sub sea structures,
bundles, risers and even pipelines. It can be installed during construction
or in certain circumstances can be injected subsea using an ROV.
- DeepGel can offer substantial savings over existing
pipeline insulation options particularly where there is a requirement
to insulate complex or awkward structures.
- DeepGel is non hazardous, non flammable and environmentally
responsible.
